Default 2003 F150 Fuel Pump issue

I have a 2003 F150 with 18,000 miles on it. I bought it brand new in 03 and never had an issue with it until now.

I went to start it today, and I turned the key over, and while the engine begin to turn-over, my fingers slipped off the key. So I went to turn the engine over again. Well, the engine turned over and the truck did not start.

I listened to if I could hear the fuel pump turn on when I turned the key, but nothing.

I then pulled the fuel rail and took out one injector, turned the key, and no fuel came out of the the fuel line.

I then checked that little fuel system switch behind the passenger side kick panel, and found the switch stuck in the depressed position. In other words, the switch is on, (not allowing the fuel pump to run).

My question is, why would the switch be stuck on? I cannot seem to get it up?

Also, is this the problem why the fuel pump is not working?

Does this button need to be up or down in order for the fuel pump to work?

Thanks in advance!
