Default 1999 f150 heater core replacement

does anyone have any helpfull info on replacing heater core

Default from a 2002 basically the same.

REMOVAL

All vehicles
  1. If equipped with power seats, move the seat fully rearward.
  2. If equipped with adjustable pedal system, move the pedal to the full forward position.
  3. If equipped with a manual transmission, place the transmission in second gear.
  4. Disconnect the battery cables. WARNING: TO AVOID ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE INJURY, THE BACKUP POWER SUPPLY MUST BE DEPLETED BEFORE REPAIRING OR INSTALLING ANY AIR BAG SYSTEM COMPONENTS. TO DEPLETE THE BACKUP POWER SUPPLY ENERGY, DISCONNECT THE BATTERY TO STARTER RELAY CABLE AND WAIT ONE MINUTE.





  1. Position the battery junction box (BJB) aside.





    1. Remove the bulkhead electrical connectors from inside the engine compartment.
    1Loosen the bolts.2Disconnect the bulkhead electrical connectors.






    1. Remove the bulkhead electrical connector insulator.





    1. Unclip the bulkhead electrical connectors from the dash panel.
    2. Remove the lower instrument panel steering column cover.





    1. If equipped, remove the valance panel.





      1. Disconnect the restraint control module (RCM) electrical connector.
      1Release the locking tab.2Disconnect the RCM electrical connector.
      • Release the wiring harness locators.





      1. Disconnect the electronic blend door actuator electrical connector.





        1. Disconnect the climate control head vacuum harness connector.





        1. Remove the LH and RH front door scuff plates.

        1. Position the LH and RH door weatherstrip seals aside.





        1. Remove the LH and RH A-pillar lower trim panels.





        1. If equipped, remove the Alternative Fuel Control Module (AFCM) .
        1Disconnect the electrical connector.2Remove the AFCM from the vehicle by pulling gently down and to the right.
        NOTE: The AFCM is attached with Velcro(R).

        Early build vehicles







        1. Remove the LH and RH A-pillar passenger assist handles.
        1Remove the four screw covers and four screws.2Remove the LH and RH A-pillar passenger assist handles.






        1. Remove the LH and RH windshield side garnish mouldings.
        Late build vehicles







        1. Remove the LH and RH A-pillar passenger assist handles.





          1. Remove the LH and RH windshield side garnish mouldings.
          All vehicles







          1. Disconnect the Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch electrical connector.





            1. If equipped, disconnect the adjustable pedal motor electrical connector.





            1. If equipped, disconnect the adjustable pedal motor harness electrical connector.

            1. If equipped, disconnect the Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch.





            1. Remove the (A) audio unit ground and the (B) GEM/CTM ground bolts.





            1. Disconnect the LH instrument panel main wiring harness connectors.





              1. Remove the instrument panel steering column opening cover reinforcement.
              1Remove the nuts.2Remove the instrument panel steering column opening cover reinforcement.






              1. Disconnect the (A) clockspring electrical connectors and the (B) anti-theft sensor electrical connector.





              1. Disconnect the remaining electrical connectors on the steering column.





              1. If equipped, disconnect the transmission range indicator from the steering column.
              1Remove the bolt.2Disconnect the cable.






              1. Lower the steering column.
              1Remove the nuts.2Lower the steering column.






              1. Remove the instrument panel bolts through the steering column opening.





              1. Remove the instrument panel reinforcement bolt below the LH corner of the cigar lighter and power point.

              1. Disconnect the inertia fuel shutoff switch electrical connector.





              1. Remove the RH ground bolts.





              1. Disconnect the RH instrument panel main harness connectors.





                1. Disconnect the climate control wiring harness connector.





                1. If equipped, disconnect the electronic automatic temperature control (EATC) hose from the evaporator case.
                2. Remove the audio unit.





                1. Remove the antenna lead-in cable from the instrument panel.
                1Disconnect the three cable locators from the lower instrument panel channel.2Remove the antenna lead-in cable from the instrument panel.






                1. Remove the instrument panel relay cover.
                1Remove the instrument panel relay cover.2If equipped, disconnect the autolamp sensor electrical connector.3If equipped, disconnect the sunload sensor electrical connector.
                1. Remove the glove compartment.





                1. Remove the passenger side air bag module.
                1Remove the screws.2Disconnect the electrical connector.3Remove the passenger side air bag module.
                WARNING:
                • ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES WHEN REMOVING AND HANDLING AN AIR BAG.
                • CARRY A LIVE AIR BAG WITH THE BAG AND TRIM COVER POINTED AWAY FROM YOUR BODY. AN ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT WILL THEN DEPLOY WITH MINIMAL CHANCE OF INJURY.
                • PLACE A LIVE AIR BAG ON A BENCH OR OTHER SURFACE WITH THE TRIM COVER UP.





                1. Remove the instrument panel bolts through the passenger side air bag module opening.





                1. Remove the instrument panel bolt on the relay bracket.

                1. Remove the instrument panel reinforcement bolt below the LH corner of the glove compartment.





                1. Loosen the instrument panel floor brace.
                1Remove the upper instrument panel floor brace bolt.2Loosen the instrument panel brace bolts and nut.
                NOTE: Position the carpet aside.







                1. Remove the RH instrument panel cowl side nut.





                1. Remove the LH instrument panel cowl side nut.





                1. Remove the instrument panel cowl top bolts.
                1Remove the covers.2Remove the bolts.
                1. Remove the instrument panel. NOTE: This step will require an assistant.

                No the pics didn't come out right. It's a lot of work and takes most of a day to replace.
