Default 1999 F150 Alternator

Hey everyone, new here to the forum. I need some help with an alternator issue. My alternator went the other day. I went down and got a remanufactured alternator. Installed, and started the truck and everything looks back to normal. Took the truck for a drive, and the battery light comes back on. I find the 20amp fuse is blown. I replaced the fuse and metered the alternator connector, everything looks normal. Replace the plug, and everything is fine until the engine revs up to drive…..fuse blows again. Replaced the fuse, metered the plug while revving the engine…..everything is fine. Replace the plug, fuse blows again. I believe the "new" alternator is bad, (or at least the voltage regulator). Thoughts?
