Default 1994 5.0 swap with a 1992 5.0

I have a 1994 F150 with a 5.0 efi that has grenaded. I found a 1992 5.0 efi online and was wondering what issues may come up during the swap. I've read some things about firing order issues, etc. If I get the 1992 motor, will it be as simple as just making the swap, or do I need to switch some components from the 94 onto the 92? Any help any of you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

U.S. law dictates that the replacement engine must come from the same year vehicle or newer. Whether anyone would know the difference, or how close your particular vehicle is inspected is another story...

From the EPA: https://www.epa.gov/sites/production...ngswitch_0.pdf

Good luck!

Post this in the pre 97 area and you will get a lot of answers.

In 94 or 95 the 302 truck engine was switched from 302 firing order to HO firing order. Around this same time the fuel injection was switched from batch fire to sequencial. Again post in this section for more exact info.
