Default 1993 F 150 Key is locked
My husband is replacing his sister's steering column tomorrow. He got the used column from the junk yard and was getting it ready, but the key locked. Now he can't get it to the on position to get it to turn. Any ideas how to get the key to turn? The column is on my living room floor. Help please!

If the wheel is turned to hard against the lock stop then the key won't turn.

Does the silver ring around the ignition spin freely without a key in it?
