Default 1991 f150 2wd lift??

hey guys im new to this forum and my dad just gave me a 1991 ford f150 with the inline 6 and a standard transmition. also its a crew cab regular box.

i was wondering what is the easiest and cheapest way to lift it a little bit and be able to get 32-33" tires.

i was thinking add-a-leafs for the rear and coil spacers for the front.

any direction you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated :]

thanks in advance ya'll

33's don't fit on stock height?? They did on my 85 before I lifted it,but the setup you wont should be fine.,.,but may still have a rubbing problem on the controll arms,,

yeah thats what i thought to but this damn truck has no clearence..

im gonna try coil spacers first and see if it levels out a bit then get the cheap aluminum blocks for the back.

should look a little bit more like a truck ;]

Take a look at fatbobsgarage.com for leveling coils, they are the front coil springs, but they are 2" taller and will level your truck. I bought a set, have not installed them yet, and they were not much more than the spacer kits.

yeah man!

thats where i was looking,im tempted to get the 6" suspen. lift with a 3 inch body lift and some huge *** tires but then agian its a 2wd!

ill most likely get either the spacers or the new spring for the front. then for the rear i was thinking add a leafs, ill most likely do the blocks though because theyre cheaper and im not gonna need the extra payload because all i haul is a 200pound dirtbike and some sand in the winter for traction.

tell me what ya think about the setup, then ill finish it all up with 32's or 31's.

i have a 1994 f150 2wd regular cab, i went ahead and used coils instead of the spacers due to the year of the truck which is what you may want to do. it turned out great and i have 33/12.5/15 bf goodwrich all terrains on my truck. the only issue i encountered was the bumper which will need to only be cut slightly. it wont rub anywhere no matter how far you turn the wheel, i got away with not getting shocks but you may want to buy wheel cams because your tires with be bowed in partially.

hope this helped

The blocks will work fine, but if you get the add-a-leaf kit it will raise the rear of your truck at least 2" and if you ever need to, you will have the extra weight capacity. I am running 31x10.5x15's on my 1996 F150 and they look fine, imho.

alrighty then man.

do you know if its harder to do the whole coil rather than just doing a spacer?

theoretically it should be the same, no?
