You're just buying a bigger framed truck. Heavier and stronger that's all.

Been there and done that with both F-250 Diesel and a couple of F-150's. Absolutely no comparison, the F-150's did better. Lighter and better balanced. The F-250 is a very heavy truck, especially on the front end. Snow or mud......doesn't matter, it sinks a lot more and the rear end breaks traction very easily. I can go places in 2WD with the F-150 that I needed 4WD with the F-250.

no matter what truck you have, it's very easy to over drive the conditions. just be cautious and give yourself extra time. both do fine in the winter up here. hell, I drove a rear wheel drive monte carlo for years up here in MN. never a problem, as long as I was prepared and took my time

it depends i got my 09 f250 gas cc lb 4x4 stock stuck a few days ago hunting on a logging road with about 2feet of unplowed snow how ever with my 07 f150 ccsb 4x4 id say theres no way i would of made it as fare as i did due to ground clearance its a toughf call my f150 went throw places i figerd id be stuck its comes down to driver really but the diesel would do better for traction for sure i havent really had my new truck 250 in snow allot ill keep u posted
