Not knowing what IFS stands for, if its independent front suspension. The twin I beam went clear back to the sixties. It was an independent front suspension.

F350's never came with anything but a single axle as far as i know. Ford termed there suspensions as TTB- twin traction beam, not like normal IFS--no cv's, had straight axle characteristics--u joints, hubs, etc

FYI - 2005 on up the only Super Duty front axle that is not the solid axle is the F250 two wheel drive. The F250 4x4 is solid axle. F350 both two and four wheel drive F350 axles are solid.
Sorry, dont know about the years before 2005...

Kind of curious why you are looking for an IFS truck? I've heard they ride better, but I was just wondering.

All 4x4's 1979 and previous were solid axles. 1980 to 1985, all 4x4's were twin-traction-beam, all 2 wheelers were twin "I" beam, (f150-350). 1986 (old body-style) solid axle was an option on the f-350 (standard was twin traction beam IFS), but f250s and 150s were still all IFS. F150s 2wd or 4wd had coil springs. F250 2wd had coils, but 4wd had leaf springs and IFS.
1987-1997, all 2wd were twin I beam, and all 4wd were twin traction beam (except f350 which was now standard solid axle).
There was no 1998 f250HD or F350.
1999-2004 Superduty... all 2wd are twin I beam with coils, all 4wd is solid axle with leaf spring. (all f450 and 550 are solid axle whether 2 or 4wd.)
2005 to present, all 2wd are twin I beam with coils, and all 4wd are solid axle with coils.
