Default What would you pay? 7.3 Diesel

Ok I have been looking for a couple months now for my next truck. I know that I want the 7.3 Diesel in a 1999-03 F-250/350. I had been looking at SuperCab Short Beds but then I stumbled upon this:

1999 F-350 Regular Cab DRW
7.3L
Automatic
XLT
4X4
Power Everything
NO RUST
160,000 Miles
$12,900

It also comes with a 6 month/6000 miles warranty and the dealer will service everything that needs done besides an oil change that would go wrong in the first 15,000 miles. The dealer has an A+ Rating with the BBB and all of the reviews I found on various sites were 4 or 5 stars stating that the owner is a down to earth guy who is honest and does everything possible to make sure your satisfied with your vehicle.

Though I had been looking for a SuperCab, I really like the look of this truck. I have no true need for a back seat as I am 22 years old with no kids. The reason I have been looking for a diesel is due to the amount of driving a do per year (Around 30,000 miles). I have been racking up too many miles and causing too much wear on the engine before I can pay it off enough for it to be worth it. I really want an engine that will last me a while and that's why I have my eye on the 7.3L. The only thing that I really don't need is the DRW because I don't tow anything where this would be necessary. Occasionally I may tow a landscaping trailer or a jetski or boat but that's it. However, my girlfriend is into horses and eventually there will be a horse trailer...just not at the moment.

Lastly, I am in no rush to go out an buy a truck. I really don't plan on making a move until the very end of the year so I do have time to keep looking around. I simply want some input on this particular truck and if the price is reasonable.

I'm using a small laptop, so the picture you have isn't very big, but that looks like a 6.0 powerstroke tag on the door. The 7.3 has a black and silver tag, and the 6.0 has red and silver.

Are you sure of the year, or does my computer suck?

It was a 1999 7.3. The tag was faded. I called about it last night and it ended up being sold earlier yesterday. O well, I'll just continue my search.

Seems like a decent price to me, given the fact that you get a warranty, all the basic maintenance has been covered and the dealer is reputable. Plus the 7.3 is known for being damn near bulletproof when well maintained.

Even though you may not need back seats now, you will want them in the future. I'm 25 (was 24 when I bought my current truck) with no kids and originally I wanted a reg cab short bed truck, the dealership talked me into a Scab and I am so glad they did. Just having the extra water proof, secure storage of the back seats is worth it, even if I'm not putting people back there all the time.

Other then that seems like a solid rig, let us know what happens!

Edit* Didn't see it was sold LOL Nevermind!!
