I was just wondering how long I am supposed to let fluid run out of it when I drain. About a month ago I drained it, and it probably ran a steady stream for about 5 mins. Today it seems like it would go all day.
Fuel filters were done about 20,000 miles ago.

If you have 1/4 of a tank or more, fuel will keep on pouring out until fuel level reaches 1/4. So definitely don't open it up and leave for very long or you'll come back to a big mess and a nearly empty tank lol. Let it drain into a container for about 5 minutes or so.
Please, please, please change those fuel filters earlier than 20k miles. 15k should be the absolute MAX and that's if they come out relatively clean. Your extremely expensive fuel system will thank you!

Ok, sounds good. Now to get rid of that giant choking exhaust system.
