I Voted For Bill and Opus
The Very few people I have talked who have them to seem like them, however they have the same sparkplug problem the other Triton Engines have except you have 2 more plugs to deal with. Basically it is just like the other Triton engines with the same issues you see on this forum with the V8 version. The Engine is presently available only it the heavy E versions, the F450, and F550, special order. what has really killed this engine off is the Diesels, they have as much HP, twice the Torque and at least 1/3 better fuel economy.

They are cheaper to maintain but if you tow with one they reach the end of their life around 200k. A few years ago we switched to v10 from the 7.3 when diesel went over 4 dollars a gallon. Towing i went from 13 with the 7.3 to 8-9 with the v10. They towed the light RVs fine but the 5th wheels they just did not hold up to the hills and they are slower to accelerate. We switched back to diesels after 2 months.

I would only get an 2005 and up. but we had three f250 v10s at work 2001,2004,2006. The 2006 had a lower first gear and WAY more power. I think it was a three valve head. Anyways night and day difference between 04 and 05. The 06 was our hydraulic trailer truck. It pulled every day atleast twenty thousand pounds. The 04 and 01 could do it but would struggle. They all still run like a champ and no spark problems always changed them every year.

my old man has the v8 and a guy at our church had a v10 and said the milage was almost the same as the v8 with more power. also a teacher at my school has a v10 that he pulls a large travel trailer with.
