Traded in my F150 for a F250
#11
Damn, people were calling me crazy around here for wanting to trade in my 2013 F150 FX4 for a F250 KR diesel. I am glad im not the only one that had this mindset to trade up. Granted its not cheap but I just think the overall value is there and getting better gas mileage then the 5.0 in my f150 is bonus on top of it all. I will probably be doing my trade near end of summer.
Also smith or anyone who can answer to this, how would you say the leather in the F250 Lariat compares to the f150 fx4 leather?

I will say, I really do like the comfort of my truck now, just overall..it's not for me.

In the world of trucks its slightly different because towing comes into play. When towing the benefits in gas milage are pretty much void but your getting to pull more for the same gas mileage. If you get a F150 with a V8 5.0 going side by side with a F250 6.7 powerstroke same style driving on same terrain not towing just "driving around". The F250 will have that better gas milage. In my case since I have a heavy foot in my best days on unleaded I get 14.7 mpg with my F150 with a F250 My expectation is around 20 mpg. However on top of that I am getting a more capable truck all around better ground clearance, slightly larger cabin, better suspension etc.

I've had mine roughly 10 days. In that time, I've put about 3300 miles on it, two trips from Little Rock to San Antonio and back add the miles up quick. Lifetime on it is 16.5 but the traffic in SA killed it. This last tank was all highway, with the cruise set 75, I got 18.2.
The only complaint I have on it is the dang 20 gallon tank, but that will be remedied within the next month. I prefer the ride over my f150, but this is just my personal opinion. I had to get on it just a few times when getting on the highway and I was pleasantly surprised as it pushed me back in my seat, lol

^^^ agreed. I hate that dang 26 gal tank. But the good thing for me is, mine came with a 98 gal aux tank made by Transfer Flow Tanks. So it cost a lot to fill up but I can ride on that gas for a month and half or more.

Congrats on the new truck! I've been toying around with the idea, but I just wouldn't utilize it like it's meant to be lol
