Default Tow with a 6.2L gas

Does anyone here have a current model f-250 screw 4x4 6.2L and tow frequently? I've been looking at one of these trucks, but curious how people like it. How does it tow with the gas motor what's your fuel economy like while towing.

Honestly the towing isn't great in my opinion. I feel my f150 with the 6.2 pulls better then the super duty with a 6.2. Probably because a half ton weighs a lot less.

And as for fuel milage, I would expect about 30L/100km, or somewhere close. Obviously depending on weight

The 6.2 also is tuned to have lower HP in the f250 vs 150 as well. So less power and more weight would make it feel worse.

I'm not a fan of gas super duties.

Me either. If you need more power than a f150, get a diesel.

Just got my gasser 6.2 f-250. The 6.2 has plenty of power for towing. The 6.7 is a great motor but I didn't need that much grunt. The service is way more demanding and with the cost of diesel, the gas mileage was a push.

I've drove probably 200k kms in a 6.2 super duty for work but I can say I've never actually towed with one. I'd be curious to see how it compares with my f150 with the 6.2

My F-150 feels like a soft toy compared to the F-250. The Trans alone is so much better.

No contest, the SD 6.2L is a engine built by Ford primarily as a work horse engine and it feels that way. SD gives you confidence in what your towing,,

The 6.2L gasser is going to be DI, according to the PUTS INSIDE SPY photo reviews. A little suspension work, band a longer bed option possibly. Rousch has newer super chargers for the 6.2 with a up grade already to boost that, pulley and belt and tuner program, Good to know a bit of after market heat avail all ready to go.
