I've had both gas and diesel 2016, f250's neither had a driveline tick.

It's very faint single "tick" that happens when you come to a stop and your speedometer it's right about 5 mph.
Not sure if it has the same sound on the diesel engines mine is a gas truck and they were able to duplicate the sound on the other gas trucks on the lot

Have you tried coming to a complete stop by putting it in neutral and coasting instead of using the brakes? I'm wondering if it might be a microscopic rotor-to-pad friction spot that's causing a brief tick.

Conversely, if you get on the brakes a little harder than normal to come to a stop, do you still hear it?

Also, put the truck in neutral and use the brakes like normal when coming to a stop. Gotta isolate it somewhere.

I just put the truck in neutral and apply the brake like I have been normally and I did not get the click sound.

I also drove the truck normally and apply the brakes hard and I do get the click sound as I described in my first post.
