Those that traded their 150 for a 250/350

Well I drank the cool aide but it was the wrong kind. Ended up stealing a 2015 ram 2500 cummins. Local dealer was anxious to sell a truck and gave more than I paid for my truck two years ago on trade and a very considerable amount off of the sticker.
The local ford dealer had nothing to offer nor are very good to deal with.

Best Move Ever
So, I drank the Kool-Aid and finally purchased a SD with 6.7. I have driven 3 F150's over the past 15 years and my last 2 were a 2011 Lariat Screw and a 2014 FX4 Screw. Let me say all my F150's were great trucks but this SD is by far the best truck ever!!
This thing cruises at good speeds, shakes and bakes when I need it to, and just flat out rides awesome. It came stock with Toyo AT2 tires which makes it even better. The interior is by far the best I ever had and such a smooth sitting truck. I honestly love driving this truck everyday.
Now granted maintenance is a little more expensive, but the cost is offset by being king of the road in this truck. I would recommend the move to a SD any day.

I had a 6.7, my father had a 6.2 super duty.
Driving the 6.2, you wouldn't know it wasn't diesel if you didn't look at the RPM gauge or listen for a turbo. The 6.7 is a beast and the 6.2 has a ton of ***** as well.

So I traded in my 2011 Lariat 4x4 ecoboost, was lifted with 4" Rancho and 35s. I traded for a 2015 F250 Lariat 4x4 6.2, installed 2" level and 35s. I get 10-12mpg all the time and it doesn't pull as good as my eco did. Even down shifts on hills to 4th gear empty. Pulled my 22' boat home from texas and got 9mpg and was constantly hitting 4th gear and sometimes 3rd on hills. I've had my truck not quite 3 months and looking at trading for another f150 eco. Am I crazy?? Am I the only one on this Superduty forum that regrets the trade so far? I mean I love the truck, Its loaded up as was my F150. And as far as the truck itself yes it handles the weight better, but lacks in the power and mileage department. Wow I am torn on this, Maybe I should spend another grand and swap gears to 4.30s and see if it changes my mind?
Anyone else UPGRADED and sorry they did???

I think 4.30 gearing will help, but I do think the main issue is with the 6.2 not having a turbo for the low end power that the Eco and power stroke have.
Towing on flat land I don't see the 6.2 having any trouble. My 5.0 didn't even have issues on flat terrain. With the hills I would say 6.7 is the answer, or if you don't like diesel sadly Eco would probably your best bet. 4.30s should help though.
Seems like you ended up with the truck I should have (since I rarely tow) and I ended up with one perhaps you should have. I never thought I'd love the diesel as much as I do now.
