Default supercab room in a 08-10 super duty

I will be on the market for either a used F-150 or F-250 that is around 8 years old once my house sells. I have owned both the 11th gen and current 12th gen F-150 super cabs and have felt they were plenty roomy for kids in the back.
LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR: I want a 6.5' bed and I DON'T want a crew cab. Call me a crappy driver, but the 156/157" trucks are just too long. I like to take my truck in the car wash and every inch counts when you are parking in a big city.
My question is, how do the 08-10 super duty super cabs compare in roominess to the newer f-150s? I may just get an 11th gen F-150 again, but that V-10 is calling my name

hmm, I guess when it comes to Super Duty it's 'super crew or GTFO!'

The super cab in a super duty is a joke. I looked at a 2013 ford f250 supercab and was extremely disappointed. There is no way a adult could sit back there and be comfortable. The supercab f150 is almost twice the size.

I had as supercab sd. The back seat was a joke. Unless you're a contortionist you'll never fit comfortably back there. Definitely go crewcab with the sd. That was the main reason I sold my first sd.

Thanks guys, I always thought that this was kind of a crappy deal with the super duty. Anything under a 6.5' on a SD is silly, but why the 142" WB?! Maybe the 2016s will get a 145" or so WB. It would make a huge difference. I suppose it took the F-150 supercab a long time to evolve into something that kids older than 5 could be comfortable in as well.
