We are in a similar boat. I traded my 2010 F150 last week on a 2013 F250 4X4, lariet, FX4. I love the 6.7 PSD, power is amazing and I am getting 19 mpg over the first 800 miles. It's a big truck, probably too big for my needs, but i still love it. When I pull the boat to the lake next week I bet I won't even know it's back there. My poor 5.4 really struggled to pull the boat.

My F150 sold within 24 hours, someone out there got a darn nice F150.

Yeah. I wasn't expecting good gas mileage. I figured it is a huge truck and gas mileage will be lousy. I was okay with that since that's not why I bought it.

However, I have been very surprised that I've done a lot of in city driving and am averaging 16.5 MPG. It's doing better than my Ecoboost. If it continues that way then it's a bonus I wasn't expecting.

Default count me in as well

Traded my 2012 EcoBoost for almost the same reasons and circumstance. Mine would stutter and stammer when going up a grade, had good power and felt and looked great. I just couldn't get over the humidity in the intercooler and plugged up cats. I always felt it was just a matter of time it would have the fall on its face.

Anyway I am very happy so far with my 2012 F250, but opted for the 6.2 gasser. I don't have a diesel station near by and couldn't justify the extra cash and long term maintenance costs..

I am getting 14 Mpg consistent and love the power and feel, it is an awesome truck, I want to get it line-x'd and maybe a 5 star tuner.

Congrats on your new ride.

It shows that we all really like the truck... in theory... we were all just let down by the Ecoboost. That's why we all upgraded to Super Duty trucks and didn't just dump Ford altogether for another brand. It's a shame and I really hope they get things worked out. That Ecoboost is impressive but the turbos really need to be figured out and made to function like they should.

I had recently bought a travel trailer that weighs just over 8,000 lbs fully loaded up. This put me right at my limit on both hitch weight (payload) and towing capacity. While maxed out, I thought I would still be fine since I was within specs for the truck. However, with the engine issues started to crop up I decided to make a trade rather than to be frustrated with trying to fix the problem... likely unsuccessfully... as so many others have tried.

With all that said, I traded in my F150 for a new 2013 F350 FX4 Lariat with the 6.7L Diesel and 3.55 locking gears. The truck had fewer than 5 miles on it and I was actually watching it on the Internet going from "on order" to "in stock" at the dealership. I've now got just over 100 miles on it after a day and a half of driving around and commuting to/from work.

I'm very excited to graduate up to a Super Duty and am looking forward to getting past the first 1,000 miles so that I can try out towing the trailer to see the difference. I am very hopeful that this truck won't develop any quirks since I am pretty much committed to this truck having carried over some "upside down" cash into the new purchase. I can't jump ship on this truck like I did the Ecoboost.

This is my first diesel truck. I am interested in any suggestions / pointers that you all can give a newbie regarding care, maintenance, etc. that I might not otherwise know about without prior experience. I am reading up on the owner's manual and just browsing around online for now to see what I can find. It appears there are some mixed reviews on the 6.7L but overall it seems that most people are reporting good results with this engine vs. some of its recent predecessors.
Hopefully I can get the BBB to make ford buy this pos F150 Eco. I've had a laundry list of problems with it. If so I think I might up grade to a F250 6.2

More pics

Although I have a 2011 EB, and only problem I've had is the driveshaft clunk. New boot and lube and it's new again. I pull a 5th wheel and never had any problems. 34,000 miles

But if the wife would let me I'd upgrade in a heartbeat
