What would look good behind the grill. It looks like its missing something right now. I want to get nthe newer style 05 grill eventually, so what would look good with both?

Get the 05 grille that has all the small bars and install a 3" light bar behind.

I like the billet inserts on my grille, they make the front end seem more complete. Can't help you on price or where to find them as the previous owner installed them but you should be able to find them with a quick google search.

Just picked up my new loaded F-250 today, traded in the 2012 F-150 ecoboost. So far this beast is awesome!
