meh the 10th gens had revised engines in 99 too...the superduties never had new engines, just revised.....theres a bit of difference and a lot of changes underneath but look at the 2011 F-150 drivetrain revision and the 94 vs 95 chevy interior and no one (that'd I've heard) says they're a different gen. guess it's really a personal opinion what constitutes a gen change in a truck though.....some people say 80-96 fords are all one generation

I didn't go in with the intent of purchasing a Platinum. The dealer didn't have the truck I wanted and sold me the Platinum for the price of the Lariat package I wanted. I figured I could deal with it. It's not horrible, but I'm just not in love with a lot of chrome. I will be looking for some ideas to improve the look to suit me.
