Investing in 2008 6.4 ???
I'm in the process of looking for a new truck when I came across a 2008 F250 King Ranch. I don't know much about the 6.4 engine and I was hoping owners on here could give me some help!
The truck as I said is a 2008 F250 King Ranch with the FX4 package also. 149,000 miles with a 6 inch lift and 37s. Selling for $28,500. I was wondering what the positives and negatives of the 6.4 are and some common fixes that come with the miles? Any advice would help me as I've only owned a gas truck. Thanks guys!!!

Does the seller list any modifications?
Deletes, tuner, exhaust, etc.
There's some problems with them overheating due to turbo placement. They won't get the greatest mileage, but they can be an absolute powerhouse if done correctly. They are essentially the bastard child between the 6.0 and the 6.7.

Before you consider buying it, have it taken to a trusted mechanics shop to have the suspension and steering. If you can find somebody to run a carfax report that would be good too. Should list all of the services he's had done to it.
Ask if it has EGR delete and what brand if it does.
