HP, Torque question

Damnnnnn! I have been eyeballing the diesel super duty, and in the meantime I came across a lot of good super duty gas trucks but seeing as how getting a super duty gas is going to put me in a worse situation than what I'm currently in right now with my eco-boost I guess it only makes sense to get the diesel

The trucks I've been looking at have 3.31, 3.55 & 3.73s.
I was trying to stay more with the 331 or 355 rear axle

You can easily adjust gear ratio by using bigger/smaller tires & wheels. You need to recalibrate or reprogram the pcm to shift properly & to correct the speedometer/odometer

Not necessarily worse with the F250 gas. What are the gear ratios for the transmission and the differential? Compare. I would hazard a guess that the F250's have lower geared (higher numerical ratio) differentials and more choice of ratios. What you are really interested in is torque at the rear wheels.

WOW! Is this getting confusingly! E150, Ranger diesel, F150, F250, overhead cams vs pushrods, diesel vs gas, turbo vs NA, automatic vs manual, Australia vs US. I thought the original question was would an F250 pull my 7900 lb trailer better than the F150 EcoBoost.
Yes, I think a 6.2 gas with either of the available 3.73 or 4.30 ratios (3.31, 3.55 are not listed for the F250 gas) would pull better than the F150 EcoBoost with a 3.55 gear. The F250 would stop better and handle better. If your towing a lot the F250 might be the better choice. However for occasional towing I would opt for the F150 EcoBoost with max tow 3.73 gear for many reason including initial cost, fuel economy, smaller overall size and a host of others that would make it easier to live with when not towing.
Diesel? That's a different ball game. If you tow a lot, drive many many miles it might be a good choice but for me the initial cost and and higher maintenance cost ( l don't do oil changes anymore) don't make economic sense.
