Hooking up 6.0L high idle, what am I doing wrong?

The light does come on, and the switch is always last to come on.

So after screwing with it a while I have two conclusions. One is I am impatient, sometimes when the truck is in park and the E-brake is on then I flip AUX 4 the high idle will come on instantly. Sometimes it might take a couple seconds and sometimes it takes around 10-15 seconds. The other thing I'm noticing is either it's a stroke of luck or it's got a sweet spot it wants the E-brake in, get too far away from 50% down and it takes longer to go to high idle. Not sure if it's a coincidence or what it is but so far I've learned I just need a little more patients lol.
