After all discounts and incentives, the dealer is selling the truck for $44447.00

All I have ever bough was used cars. Never bought a new one. The only rebate I don't qualify for is the $500 competitive lease.
I thought all vehicles were negotiable, just caught me off guard that the price they listed on their website is final, not a penny less...

Seeing as how that dealer I posted above is about 4hrs from me, I sent my local dealer the same link, and they said they would beat their price. Didn't give me a $$ amount on the phone, but told me to come in person and talk to them. Id say if they can beat it by $1000, Id be game.. Is that asking too much?

No, you have to start somewhere. I'd be surprised if they'd beat it by $1000, but who knows. Even if they simply matched it there's a value in buying local, beyond just the drive time. When it comes to service and/or warranty work you're going to want to go to the local guy out of convenience, and they're going to take better care of you if you bought it there. That's always been my experience. If you're really ready to pull the trigger on such a truck, those are really good deals. The first time you pull something big you're going to think "Wow, I should'a got one of these a long time ago". Good luck!

I'd hold off a little bit personally. The new 2017's are rolling out fairly soon so that will be the "old body style". If that doesn't bother you much, once the dealers start getting the 2017's, the might offer you a super low price to get the old trucks off the lot.
