I could not get a crew cab dually in my garage either. However, a supercab dually fit.

And a dually is no wider than the mirrors.

But if you stick to a small trailer, you can get a SRW. Its just that 250's and 6.7's don't fit well together. Just too heavy an engine, and you end up with barely more real capacity than a gas 150, sometimes, less. The 6.2 is better for you.

That is not true. My 6.7 250 has a payload of 2890 on the door. Let me know which 1/2 ton has that in a crew cab 4x4. Oh right, you won't find that from any brand.

I can fold mirrors on a srw and get the truck in but not fenders...haha. I will definitely keep the F350 in mind as I did notice they were basically same price when I stopped by dealer.

That is an amazing truck!

It has 1000 lbs more payload than Ford even rates it in its towing guide, on a stripped down model!

4x4 Crew Cab 156.2" – – 10,000– – 1,797/ –

Amazing.

Weedeater - well thought out.

Not some magical mystery internet truck. This truck actually exists.

Even an XL, a stripped model with the magical plowing package, is at 2415 lbs. When you add options, it reduces available payload. OP, you probably will not get an XL. See how the payload drops just from going from an XL to a Lariat.

(I have the above in 1600 version if you want to see it OP)

OP, you should check out trucks on the lot, that are like what you might order (if you order) to get a real idea of payload capacity. You should be within a 100 lbs or so if you order.

The bottom line OP, don't buy the BS drivel from SOME 250 drivers. Do what I am doing and block them. They cannot be trusted on this small issue, would you really trust them on anything else. I wouldn't.

Your call.

Just out of curiosity, can you no longer order an 250 with 350 rear springs?

Never mind, built one on the ford site and could not find the option I used to order.

I looked at a PSD F250 SCREW short box the other weekend. I was shocked to see the payload figure! Only 400lbs more than my current F150

Then I turned my attention to the same rig but in a SRW F350, much better payload figures. More than double what my F150 can handle.

F350 here I come!
