i would like to get it running as opposed to parting out.i already have a F150 which is in good shape and would like the 250 to do all the dirty work to keep the 150 clean.

that's not a bad idea. I'm sure if you get the fuel system fixed up it will fire right up. Those old idi diesels are tough ones to break
