2000 Superduty 5.4 gasser with 330 K showing, but factory reman engine 6K ago. The gauges and speedo stop working at random times, and sometimes speedo quits while gauges work and vice versa. A good love tap on top of the dash will restore function, sometimes for a short while and sometimes for a longer period.
Sounds like a loose or dirty connection to me, but the mechanic says the cluster needs replaced. I see several cluster rebuild companies on the internet and am leaning that way.
Anyone else experience this problem? What was the cure for your truck?
