I would honestly go for a 12v 5.9 P-Pumped Cummins. A lot of power, reliable, economical, and easy to do. Just find the motor, and then buy a conversion kit.

Save your $4500, sell it and get a year end 11 for no money down and O% interest. It time to move on. You'll save big time in gas costs, love your new 5.0L. smokenup the road getting 18/19 mpg and not have the diesel problems. A win, win for you.
