Default chip problem or pickup problem?

I have a 2002 7.3 with an edge and it kills my pickup when plugged into the icp and has power, unplug it and it runs fine.. is my chip messed up or is something with the pickup itself.. just started happening after I changed oil, checked my oil and it is at the level it needs to be

The edge is a programmer, not a chip. Not sure of your issue but I would suggest you remove the Edge and get a tune from Matt@Gearhead Performance. Edges are know to cause tranny issues.

okay sorry I misspoke.. but it acts like it sputters and dies when the edge is plugged in.. I changed the ICP because I had an extra.. plugged it back in and it still acted the same.. but without the edge it runs fine but without power.. any ideas on what it could be.. fuel? oil? or none of the above..

Sounds like the tuner, from what you are saying...
