Buying a 97 7.3
I came a across a 97 7.3 xlt short bed 5 speed. 95k miles..
I was told it's all original and runs good. But the clutch pedal bracket is broke. The guy hasn't fooled with it since. Anybody know it this is a common problem. If I can fix it in a few hours. Or is it going to be a hassle. The price is right other wise and its super clean in and out. No rust or rot any where

Check the firewall around the clutch master cylinder for cracking as well. The problem stems from the throw-out bearing getting gummed up on its guide and hard to move. As a result the clutch pedal force goes up and things break in the dash/firewall area. I've patched a couple firewalls but never dealt with a broken pedal bracket, so I can't answer that question.
