Default to wax or not to wax.

my mom's boss picked up his special ordered 2015 Ford F-250 Lariat in Oxford White yesterday. he thinks new cars have wax on them. do they need waxed asap? or not? Thanks!

I always do but I wax my trucks few times a year anyhow, won't hurt especially with white, will make those streaks just was right off

yeah. The reason why is beacause he thinks new vehicles don't need waxed. ( along with my big brother. And I detailed his 2013 Escape and he was amazed with what a good coat of wax did. He said it looked better then it did new! )

I'm of the understanding that a freshly painted vehicle should not be waxed for 30 days. Therefore, I believe that there is no way on the vehicle from the factory.

Yea o heard that also when I was rear ended in my KR last year body shop guy told me that, don't wash for few days and don't wax or buff for a month

i heard that factory paint is already cured.

Probably is may just be a suggestion from dealers who knows could just be an old wives tale but wouldn't hurt the truck to have some quality polish

I would if I could convince him that it doesn't come waxed. Good wash. Clay. Wax. Maybe colinite if I can get some.
