Default 2008 f250 questions

I am looking a picking up a f250 2008 6.4. Any things i should look out for in this model year? I am considering the 2008 because because of the lower price. I have a 5.4 2004 f150 right now. Thanks in advance for the info

Radiators were one of the biggest problems with the 08's. Most of them should have been replaced by now. I also had some problems with brakes on mine. Check all 4 corners for sticking calipers. Other than crappy MPG's and high maintanance, great trucks!

I've heard of people doing after market exhaust and tuners to pick up mpg, yes.
You could cut out the DPF, but there's a HUGE fine if they catch you

I have a 2008 6.4 cc and so far it has been great. Job 1 08's were known for radiator problems, and some turbo problems. Also looks like bad fuel can destroy the engine and Ford will try to deny the warranty. $1500 will get you a tune and everything you need to delete the emmissions. It will also give you over 500 hp at the rear tires. The HP info is a for sure. I am not sure I believe some of the mileage gains people claim. I haven't tuned my 6.4 but I had a 6 position tune on my 01 7.3 and it made unbelievable power. Mileage stayed the same. I gained 150 hp and mileage stayed the same so all was cool.
