8% is high for a truck, I think. Your dad is right, it woul dbe better to pay cash for one. Even to this day, I get anxious and want to buy new toys all the time. But the reality of it is, if there a possibility for you to pay cash for something, its better. For a few reasons. No payment is nice. If you get in a bind, you have something to sell for a little cash. When its paid off, its more fun modding it, because you dont have to worry about paying for something that might break.
