Ha ha ha ha ha...And you put a picture of them on here too for people to laugh at and comment on. How many people does it take? And how long did it take for them to figure it out? Ha ha ha ha

*Should say not all truck owners are like that! But there are a bunch that are.*
@Kev3451 Oops...I'm guilty of this one. If some one was to random ask me, I would not know either. I still have the sticker from the window, so I guess I need to put that info in my phone. But then again, I have never heard of anyone asking.

@mbullock Ha ha..I don't mind is some one said look in the manual, cause I have had to look in it anyway for info I wanted to find out. Or if you don't want to look in the manual, then google it. I'm a tech head, so I have read a lot of tech manuals and stuff at work, so I do not mind going to the manual to find out info on stuff.

No worries, at least you have the info somewhere to back yourself up!

GM still uses some of their old technology that they have used since 1996. I don't care how fancy it looks from the outside, its almost the same truck from 10 years ago."If it works why change it?" Is what I'm guessing their state of mind is.

How many of their trucks do you see STILL with drum brakes? I don't find it very innovative even tho they claim it to be.

Our mechanic hates the drum brakes on my mom's 08 1500

Since they went to rear disk brakes, I have seen more and more rear axle seals leaking because of crappy dust shields. Last week I had a 2012 Chev express van with 25,000 miles and the rear diff was almost completely empty from the RR axle seal pissing.

I haven't check if there is a TSB out on that but I wouldn't be surprised.

Rear drum brakes suck. I had them on my 09 1500 LTZ Silverado and the brake pedal felt like pudding. It was downright terrible.

In cars its not so bad because typically you're not bearing a heavy load all the time and its cost effective, but in a truck that every gen they keep trying to push to the tow rating while still using the old uni-spring drum system? I don't think the F150 has had drum brakes since what 04-05? They have a drum parking brake but thats not for stopping force.

My brother's (and was my truck for a bit) '05 FX4 had rear discs. Brakes felt way better on that truck than on my Chev.
