lol, we're still waiting for the offer to be accepted or rejected. We decided to wait on the puppy until escrow actually closes...

and low and behold, after much research and consideration, we decided which breed to get... we decided on a Great Dane =) Now the problem is, is the color we want (because danes come in so many)... So now I need all ya'lls opinions between these two

When I bought my Great Dane I wanted a solid Blue, they are very expensive, hard to find and potentially have the most problems. A blue dane is rare, but beautiful dogs. I have heard that they are Blue due to a genetic "problem" not too sure how true this is. I love be blue merle as well. I love my Black dane though would not trade him for anything! - Are you planning on cropping the ears? I didnt and neither did my brother, they stay much dirtier and have to clean them more often. i think they look great but I am glad I didnt Crop mine's ears!

The blue IS considered a genetic "wonder" lol. They are really BLACK danes that carry 2 'dilution' genes- hence the "diluting" of the black pigment. Thus, it's impossible to get a blue dane with a black nose lol.

Yeah, I did my homework... lol. Blues don't have any more health problems than any other color as far as I know.

I was cosidering cropping the ears. I love the look =) Do you have a pic of your dane?
