Yeah well, that's a rarity for her. Usually it's just, 'NO! We can't AFFORD that.'

In fact, after I put the money down on the Beretta she was like, 'How much is it total?'

When I told her, her reaction was quite different, 'SERIOUSLY?!?!?! I thought it was going to be like $400!!!'

It's too late now, I'm not cancelling it.

Should've put the $200 on a Barrett then sold my truck to pay for it. She would've just stomped her foot down and screamed, 'DIVORCE! NOW!!!'

Man... Have some family in town who are going shooting in the morning, but I just found out I'm working They brought a couple of SIGs, a Glock 31, a Stag 3T, whatever that 10mm Glock is called, and a Kimber SIS... Hadn't heard of the Kimber until I googled it, but it was beautiful and I'm pissed I won't get to try her out...

I'm fortunate enough to get to train with the FBI and other regional SWAT teams as a role player in tactical scenarios. I often play the role of an active shooter, usually as a hostage taker. I get to shoot Simunition at the SWAT teams and they, in turn, repeatedly, blow my ***** away. It is the coolest and most interesting game of "cops and robbers" I have ever played and make no mistake - in every scenario we run, the cops ALWAYS win. I go home bruised and shot up and bleeding sometimes. We train from 08:00 to 17:00 and all day long I am the live "target" for these guys to spend Sim rounds on. Ow.

Part of being a role player is weapons familiarization. Some of us role players are shooters but some of the folks have never even touched a weapon. A couple of times a year the FBI takes us out and lets us shoot up a bunch of their ball ammo (we pay for it after all). The FBI recently switched to .40 cal as their standard issue round and they still have warehouses full of 9mm so we shoot tons of 9mm from their old standard issue side arms the Sig P226. Piles of 9mm brass LOL!

The other standard issue weapons are the trusty Remington 870 (which the FBI only shoot slugs from, BTW), the typical M-4, and my favorite, the H&K MP-10. The MP-10 shoots a 10mm round which is similar in ballistics to a .40 cal which is why they chose to issue the MP-10 instead of the MP-5.

Here's me demonstrating your tax dollars at work.
