I'm right there with u on the parallax and slr very good. The all fde carbine i built I threw on a strike ind key mod at first which was completely horrible and replaced it with a fortis rev which is awesome very comfortable and lightweight high quality and sturdy. I'm a big fan of the Midwest modular ss g2 right now. I like it bc the od is perfect size when simply running a hand stop which is what I prefer and it is also very light weight. I have it in 12" variety on my beater 16" build with a moe fixed stock setup with the larger spacer and a prs .800 pad which gives me a perfect lop Makes a very fast light weight carbine thinking about picking up a fortis red for the business end as they have been getting great reviews to replace the a2

The Fortis Rev was another one that I liked a lot. I've never been a fan of any of the Midwest Ind. rails. Maybe because they're too common like the Troy rails? The SLR looks much more finished and minimalist.

I have a MOE fixed stock on my 1st AR. I'm pinning the ACS about 3/4" longer for my new build (f'n nanny state).

I'm trying to build this AR to shoot like a .22 so I have a Spike's Dynacomp for a muzzle brake to pin to a 14.5" barrel and will have a full auto bolt carrier and H buffer.

Nice I only use Milspec bcgs. I have been wanting to justify picking up a Lantac dragon as I've been hearing they are legit. But my buddy has the fortis red and for 60$ it's a helluva mds really keeps muzzle flip down. The od of the Midwest tube is really what I like about it. Been wanting to try the new slr key mod I may spring for one on the next build.

I'll get another Spike's BCG which is mil-spec. Although I was looking at some bcg's with 9310 bolts which are supposedly better than C158.

The Fortis Red will have too much side blast which is why I'm not looking at those types of brakes. I have a Levang that works well for the side blast but gives a bit of muzzle flip. It was either a battle comp 1.5 or the dynacomp. There were a few others but I got a great price on the dynacomp so I jumped on it.

The OD of the SLR is less than 1.5", very slim but has the rails at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions at the front.

I built the lower for my 2nd build but I just stripped the lower tonight to get it ready to paint this week.

C158 was spec'd in the 50's. 9310 is a newer alloy that's supposed to be stronger and better for bolts. Haven't heard/read anything about S7.

Funny, I just saw their premium full auto bcg (mpi/hp) on PSA for $90 with free shipping.

Yup, crazy ****....

Another solid reminder why wearing a vest should be mandatory because it undoubtedly saved that officers life.
