Only protective gear I have is my vest. I have a weapon light because if I'm doing a building search I am bring a light of some sort. Might as well have it on my weapon. The fact whether I have protective gear is irrelevant. My vest at the most is going to stop a knife or small caliber fire. Anything else I'm ****ed.

I was at the range one time, sighting it in. Taking my time. Take a shot, tweak the scope. BS with the guy next to me. Take a shot and repeat.

An old guy wanders down the lane and makes a a comment about how expensive it is to shoot that big 50.

Hmm good points, guess I need to adjust my thinking about this. I inherited a glock rail mount light from my dad (RIP) and his G32, guess I may as well mate them and keep on my night stand. I usually have my 1911 beside me at all times.

In the past that light would sure as hell come in handy when the power goes out, these days all I have to do is count to 10. Back up generator.

Lol. My night stand gun is my G19 with a TLR-2. Which is also my edc without the light. Just because you have the light doesn't mean you have to use it in a combat situation, it's nice to have. You can always turn it on when necessary and off when you need to. I think strobes on flashlights are gimicky and I'd personally never use one when I'm working. If I'm relying on strobing a suspect I'm pretty sure there are plenty more options I can go to besides trying to strobe someone to death lol

I'm starting to think that what the guy wanting is too much. I'd like a featherweight or extreme weather SS, but don't want to pay an arm and a leg. And I want to get one made in FN's South Carolina factory, as there is a lot of talk of those being damn near as good as the pre-64 Model 70s.

Nice looking rifle by the way!
