So stupid. What goes through people's heads to get behind the wheel while drunk? I limit myself to one beer (if that) if I have to drive. Isn't it amazing, people can sit in a bar and NOT get drunk!

I go to bars all the time and I don't even drink (I go for the food and the scenery ). I have been the DD a few times and I have no problem doing it. My friends know that they can call me anytime and I will get them home.

its bar owners that are idiots.

I live in a dry county but we have two restaurants that serve alcohol. One of which I know will not let you leave if you are drunk. And if you think that you're going to leave then you will sit in jail because they will have you arrested to keep you from driving I've seen it done.

Same here man. I would sit (and have sat) in a bar and drink coke. It's the atmosphere that is the most fun. Beer to me is only appetizing on select days anyway. I always tell my friends and family that they can call me any time of the night and I will come pick them up if it means they would otherwise try to drive. It's what friends should do IMO.

Well yeah, that and then drive as erratically as possible until they're dry heaving and wanting to die. Friends do that too.
