Regarding classified ad requirements to include screen name & date in Pictures
In an effort to increase sales safety in Classified ads, for both truck sales as well as Part sales, we recently began requiring all member's to denote the member's screen name as well as date to be included in each Picture (Usually written on a piece of paper). However, it has come to our attention that some members consider this an unnecessary burden. We have decided to ask our member's opinion.
Comment's are welcome, but don't forget to vote in the Poll!

In this day and age, I would think most folks are familiar with the term "buyer beware". Do your homework, communicate with the seller, ask the appropriate questions and if you still don't get a warm fuzzy about the deal, walk away.

The idea of buyer beware does come in to play, but why not make sure forum members are as comfortable and safe as possible when purchasing items or vehicles from other forum members. It takes probably 30 seconds to write your info on a piece of paper and put in the picture. Even if the rule saves one person from getting ripped off the I think it is a worth while rule.
I was sort of annoyed with the new rules at first, but that was mainly because I had just boxed up a couple of items for shipping, and THEN posted to the forum. I even took pictures of my actual items, but wasn't real interested in unpacking just to include my screen name and whatnot.
Ironically, I haven't really sold my items. Hard to say if there's no interest or if it's because I'm a guy who apparently doesn't follow rules and thus am not as "trusted" now.
I get why the rules are there, and I don't honestly think it's that big of a burden to write your screen name and a date on a piece of paper and have it appear in the pictures. I think that with all transitions to something new, there will be people who are unhappy with it. It doesn't make it wrong, just different.
