Yeah, I've never truly experienced hot AND humid as you say. I only lived in Georgia until I was 29, joined the military and then moved back once I got out. Bet I've experienced it more than you bud. I worked inthat southern, muggy heat for 7 years as a firefighter and almost my whole life as a cattle farmer with my dad. I'm telling you I've experienced both and regardless as to whether it's humid or not 120 degrees is hot as hell. A lot hotter than southern summer days. You ever been to the Mohave desert? I have, for 8 long, miserable months. Go preach to a different choir son.

So I guess the whole heat index thing is a scam?

The point is that 120 degrees is hot regardless whether it's humid or not. Why doesn't everyone on here get their panties in a wad over someone saying 120 degrees is hot as hell.

I'd rather deal with 80-90 degree heat with high humidity than 120 degree heat with little humidity. I won't even start about Iraq's "dry heat".

Just for giggles, cause I've lived in both too.

Currently, Melbourne, FL is 88 degrees with a dew point of 75 giving it a heat index of 98.

Edwards AFB in CA is 90 degrees with a dew point of 12 giving it a heat index of 86.

I just came back from a weekend in Palm Springs. It got up to 110 while we were there. I'll take that 110 over FL weather any day.

Put your face over an oven burner turned on high for 5 minutes. Then bring a pot of water to boil on the same burner and put your face over it for 5 minutes. Yes both are uncomfortable but one is MORE uncomfortable.

My panties only wad up when they get humid. When comparing same temps, humidity takes miserable to a new level.
