Instrumentation & automation, i mess with instruments, valves and such, and PLCs like on XLTs pic, i can program those. control loops and programs like that centrifuge control is what im learning now. those pics are the water quality sensors at a local power plant, and thanks! my dad's shop, hes been making them for about 25 years now.

It's one of ours, we're not really sure how he managed to do that as he was on fairly flat ground.

Theyre pretty fun to mess with, but i personally enjoy working with my hands, not so much with computers.

i have a cousin who handles the servers for anhueser busch, he gets paid well.

Yeah it pays good money. Routing, switching, IA and security does too. The hot topic in IT now days is cloud computing, big data, virtualization, developers, and enterprise software. Programming wasn't my strong points, so I stick to the network side of the house.
