Wow...seem like you need to hire some experienced people especially if the ones you have now continue to tear up stuff. I guess you can call it job security because you are the mechanic who has to fix it, but it has to eat into profit sort of speak, with continued repairs.

Lol don't even get me started. The main problem is that since the oil boom, whos ganna want to haul bellydumps when you could be driving for for the big oilfield companies making 2 grand a week? So the experienced truckers all go to them. You have to have some good incentives and benefits for em which we dont have. But you are right i got job security and free fuel and a very easy going flexible schedule. Good for me, bad on the company tho.

Around here, the bellydumps, water trucks and trucks in general are the ones making the $$ right now.

Well they make ok money i guess anywhere from 900-1200 a week which i guess isnt bad, but with the oilfield here, you get paid much higher with them and get almost brand new trucks.

The driver makes $1200 a week , the owners ( i own a vac truck) of course make more $$$ If my truck works 60 hours next week, id see a $3900 profit for that week. Also with my current work, i only have to fill up the truck once a month.

Was a really slow day at work today. So we assembled and raced some of these

Well we had to make sure they worked right?
