@ComQuest, That is a house, and you probably did see it on hgtv. But I believe it was on tv the first time it was built, which was about nine or so years ago.

I posted another pic of myself on this job and another of what the rot looked like under the fiberglass resin. Note that rot was nothing compared to some of the job. We had to shore up the canter levered bedroom, through the floor, and to the ceiling inside the room just to replace the 6" thick lvls that held up the room. They were so rotten I could pull them apart by hand. I had to raise the bedroom up almost 2".

And thanks for starting this thread. Lots of cool pics on this thread. Lots of interesting jobs out there. Oh and could you let me know if you can see the photobucket pics. I have about 10 pics on there. I just started photobucket for this thread cause the pics were to large to post, thanks.

Heres the updated pics http://s1303.photobucket.com/user/mastertinner/library/

@alsatropine Wow, it is amazing and so scary. I have never seen a tornado but has seen the after effects of a few. It is such a eery, scary thing. Thanks for sharing and thanks for what you do.

@PJB Wow Thats amazing. I used CAT scales a lot when I drove big rigs, but I never even figured a train could be weighed. Is the scale installed with rail tracks?

I had a video of when it was hitting Lawrence County and we were 5 miles away and the tornado was so big that is filled the whole screen of my phone. While responding to another area, we took a direct hit from a small EF 1, which packed enough punch to lift the drivers side of the ambulance about 6 inches off the ground. I thought I was meeting my maker that day. After it passed, we took back off towards the area we were called to. We were flagged down twice to find a few bodies up in trees.. Three more in a field.. we finally found two more people alive who were thrown 150 yards and had their back broken in three places. We had to bypass two hospitals because they were overrun with the wounded. It looked like a battlefield. I have never been in a warzone but this was as close as it got. Gave me a new respect for our soldiers overseas.

I thank you for what you do. When driving big rigs all across this country, I have seen some horrific make you puke accidents. Also there is a trucking company out of Indiana that goes around and pick up bodies that people donate for science, and take them to the teaching medical universities, so the students can practice on an actual body or experimental type stuff is done.
Also I do not blame you for firing people for taking pictures. Because some of those same pictures end up on YouTube, the internet some where which is so sad for the dead person families.
And you mentioned people not getting out of the way of the ambulance. I see a lot of people who drive like they have tunnel vision and don't use their mirrors for anything to see whats coming up behind them, people talking on the phone, people with music too loud, and some that is just down right confused as to what to do when emergency vehicles are coming thru. Some people have literally stopped right in the lane the emergency crew is traveling in becuse they don't know what to do.

Yeah, its got rails on the deck and its in line on the tracks. The train stops on it and gets weighed, just like a truck scale.

Speaking of truck scales the job Ive been doing for the past few days is an installation of two of them at a paper mill where they get loads of wood delivered all day and night.
