I crawled underneath the truck to spray the frame and found oil leaking out of the lip of the shock. Nobody had Rancho's in stock and I just decided to give the Bilsteins a try. They ride pretty damn good actually.

Watching the news, a woman beats on another woman AND her infant children. Who the **** kicks a baby in the back and threatens to kill a 4 year old? She's currently sitting in jail waiting for her charges.

I had an interesting day today. Found out a couple of weeks ago the ac in the gran marquis does not work. Since it hasn't been that long since I bought the car, I went in last friday and asked if they would cover anything. The owner said they would at least cover pressure checking the system. They did that today and found that the receiver-dryer has a major leak in it. They quoted me $495 to get the system working again. I thought that sounded a little steep so I called another shop in town that I have had do some work for me in the past. They quoted me $250 to fix. So I took that back to the owner of the ford dealer. I was able to get them down to $350. The biggest difference between the two is that the dealer has a 2 year warranty on parts and labor whereas the other shop only offers a one year parts and no labor warranty. I went ahead and told ford to order the parts and schedule a time when they are in.

Is the difference in warranty worth the extra money? Did I make the right choice?

I would have done the same.

They're stiffer than stock, but they handle bumps way better. Not that side to side jitter that the stock shocks seem to have. I went blasting over some wash board roads and the steering stayed dead straight. No need to correct for rear end hop.
