Yeah, it was a pretty neat little car too. The AWD is appealing for the snow. But he wants a manual trans... bleh lol

Man pedal is cool for a fun sports/muscle car driven occasionally, but a stick shift in an econobox daily driver in southern California traffic is nothing but a nuisance and pita.....

Ask me how I know lol

This.

I've known many people to go buy a "fun little stick" to drive to work. With 100% consistency, they all hated it and they all bought auto next time around.

If you lived in the sticks, that'd be one thing. But Cal is a perpetual traffic jam, isn't it?

If it were up to me, I'd never own another stick shift again. He prefers and enjoys them... "more reliable" too. Which does have truth to it. The current commuter is a 2003 Corolla S in a manual trans. He likes it lol

In a perfect world, a truck would still be my daily commuter but I'd have a stick in the garage for fun. Certainly not the other way around LOL

But in that note, my buddy with the G-8 just dumped another grand or so into a better turbo and exhaust. Last time I drove it I had a chubby for a solid week. Can't wait 'til spring!

There is 99% chance of getting stuck in traffic on the freeway during normal work hours around here.

I had and still have a stick shift vehicle(s) and they are loads of fun until you get stuck in stop and go for an hour + to move 10 miles. That's why as a commuter car I would not get a manual trans again.

Plus the modern auto transmissions have improved tremendously over the last decade making the previously beneficial attributes of opting for the manual trans (fuel efficiency & acceleration) negligible.

Not everyone has Lariut money...

We've got so many vehicles and toys, That I wish he'd sell most of it. We don't hit the desert nearly as much as we used to. And we don't camp enough to justify having the toy hauler/rv anymore. And we literally have 4 vehicles sitting that are usually just used as offroad toys... We'd easily have over $100k in our pockets if we sold all the **** we don't use.

Uncle Sam loves my money. I owe him a little over 5 grand for taxes this year so no mod money for a little bit and I'll have to buy choice grade steaks instead of prime for a couple months :-)
