Interesting. I know some vehicles with in tank fuel pumps can do that when low on fuel. Have you got an in tank pump? To be honest, I don't know what my own truck has for a fuel pump.

I could help you diagnose your issue over the internet but I'm not that nice. How much do you know about working on cars? What is the most complicated job you've done on a vehicle?

Rebuild an engine and rebuild an automatic transmission haha. Oh and change those damn 2 piece ford spark plugs.
