It's faulty wiring. Mine was the same and I had the wiring harness replaced. There is a tsb for it.

My brother's old '05 FX4 was so reliable it was scary. Shame about our trucks..I'd give them another chance in a couple years but if that one has issues, time to move on to another brand.

Ford service isn't fantastic either.
