Default Metal

As in the music.

Who else on here is a metalhead?

And by metal, I mean all subgenres. Hardcore, metalcore, black metal, death metal, and all the other weird names for metal, like progressive deathcore, hahaha!!!

Fav band: Solution 45.(at the moment)

Little background on me

Been listening to metal since I was 14, and have been in a metal band(bass) since I as 18. I'm 31 now, and am out of the local metal scene. Had mild success...never toured, but played with some notable bands.

I am from massachusetts, so for a long time my local scene was the best. I had the privelege of seeing Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, All That Remains, Unearth, The Acacia Strain, Bury Your Dead, Diecast(played with them twice) and many other acts that are "big" now, before they were "big."

Post up your fav band...mainly because I need something new to listen too, haha!!!

Ive been listening to hardcore for a few years.

I am a huge metal head... I have seen tons of great bands like Lamb of God, Trivium, Chimera, Slipknot, Coheed and Cambria, Metallica, Shadows Fall, Norma Jean, I Killed The Prom Queen, It Dies Today, Chelsea Grin, The Dillinger Escape Plan, In This Moment, Emmure, Funeral For A Friend, 3 Inches of Blood, Atreyu, and I'm sure there's more I'm leaving out....

But yeah I live, eat, breathe, and sleep metal... the heavier the better!

I consider both to be metal. I'm a huge fan of Killswitch! Not so much Bullet for My Valentine...but that's because I haven't listened to them too much.

Hell yea my friend!

Had the chance to see Iron Maiden with Alice Cooper a few months ago and missed because it was sold out before I even knew they were coming... dammit! Maiden IMO one of the greatest metal bands alive and still rocking hard!

Absolutely agree. Fear of the Dark, and The Trooper are 2 of my all time favorite songs
