There is no misunderstanding. He is not, and has never been a Ranger. He has never been awarded the Silver Star. He has never been awarded a Bronze Star. He has never been awarded a CIB with star. All of his claims of valor are a complete fabrication. He has been identified as a poser, and is being called out publicly.

Rngr3rd joined a Special Operations website a week ago attempting to pass himself off as a Ranger in the presence of real Rangers, SF soldiers and other military and civilian personnel. He made it about 5 minutes before we knew he was FOS and was subsequently banned from the site.

A google search led us here as well as to his Myspace account. Contact was initiated by PM and he denied that he was a poser. He went so far as to say his account had been hacked a week ago and that he hadnt been on and that we had the wrong guy, obviously another lie.

As a result of this he, in an attempt to hide from the real truth, has changed his screenname and profile and has disabled his PM function(s).

No misunderstanding at all.....

so, how was it confirmed that he in fact was lying? man, if this is true... =(

Well not to sound like an ass but i kinda beleive these guys... And it doesnt help the matter that Rnger pretty much deleted his profile for no apparent reason besides the fact that these guys show up

Not to continue to give this thread life, but.....

I have PM'd and flagged several of this posers prior posts due to very, very serious issues.

No one in the military who knows the restrictions on military conduct in the realm of politics would have posted the diatribes this poser has.

No one who has actually worn the uniform would brag about wearing the uniform in a bar. It is a violation of AR 670-1.

I could go on, but the actual rangers I have served with have been some of the most disciplined troops in the military. The cowboy bullcrap looks good on movie sets, but doesn't reflect the reality in any way, shape or form.
