Went out to the garden for pumpkins....20 lbs & 50lbs for the big ones
Kids had fun carving them up
Bigger one we will work on tomorrow
I had 12 big ones a few years ago....squirrels chewed them all up
There are less squirrels around now.......

Halloween is pretty much dead here. The streets are empty, it just looks like any other night. Everyone takes their kids to halloween parties or events.

This was my first year doing something "good" for halloween, I'm typically a christmas light guy...but the wife loves it and so does our 2 year old so I gave it a shot....

I setup a sound system outside that projected creepy sounds and then hooked up a fog machine to create a smoking cauldron and also piped the smoke out to some LEDs in the grave area. Finally, I had some sensored spiders that would drop down when the kids were near.

based on the kids reactions, it was a hit There were a few that wouldn't come up to get their candy without their parents, lol. All in good fun!
